I am Annemieke, an illustrator, artist and teacher based in Paderborn, Germany. My work is inspired by the things I love most: expressive characters and nature. I draw mostly digital, but every now and then I grab my pencils and watercolors and have a relaxing painting session.
In 2014 I studied Art, Math and German at the University of Paderborn to become a teacher. In my art courses at university, I learned a lot about different art techniques such as high pressure, charcoal drawing and acrylic painting. Besides, I learned how to work with different materials and did a few sculpture projects. But my favorite tool will always be the pencil!
After I graduated, I gained experience in teaching art to young students, and it was always fun!
When I’m not working, I love reading and going to coffee shops.
A few years ago, I discovered digital art and decided to study Digital Art. Now I am super happy to try out new digital stuff, like 3D Modeling, Virtual Reality and Character Design.
